BY 2030 DO YOU THINK TOURISTS WILL BE TAKING PICTURES OF BRITISH CHARGING POINTS, LIKE THEY DO THE RED POST BOX?

Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points in the UK could be set to become the next British emblem as the red post box and black cab for 2022.

The Royal College Of Art (RCA) and PA Consulting have been appointed to deliver an iconic British EV charge point design, the transport secretary announced the initiative and the chosen design will be unveiled at UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow this November.

COP26 2021 where zero emission transport will be a key theme, this design concept could be seen on UK streets from 2022. As the UK accelerate the transition to Electric Vehicles, iconic design charging points are on the agenda and attempt to create something  as recognisable as the British phone box, London bus or black cab. Potential adding style to the 25,000 and more public charging devices across the UK today.
