GENEVA MOTOR SHOW SET TO RETURN 2022
Europe’s biggest motoring event is set to return in 2022 after a two-year hiatus.
The pandemic brought uncertainty around the famous event, however plans are being put in place to hold the event next year and exhibitors applications are open now.
The 2022 event will be the 91st edition of the Geneva show. The 2020 event was called off with short notice due to the coronavirus pandemic however Automakers were forced to switch to livestream showcases to show off their new cars. 2021 was cancelled due to a shortage of interested exhibitors and the losses that hit the Automotive industry.
The revamped event will go ahead with a new format with a mixture of digital tools alongside virtual and physical experiences. The show will be open to the public if the pandemic allows for large-scale gatherings and international travel from the 19-27th February 2022.
In 2019, approximately 660,000 people attended the Geneva show and the exhibition generated an estimated 200 to 250 million Swiss francs ($205 to $256 million) worth of business Reuters reported.
How many people will show up for the Geneva Motor Show 2022 and be part of the event’s evolution?
Organisers have granted exhibitors until mid-July to register for the 2022 event.
